SKILL: Written TOPIC: Present continuous LINGUISTIC OBJECTIVES: Students should practice and develop the skill of writing through the different activities proposed in class. COMMUNICATIVE OBJECTIVES: At the end of this class, students should be able to write about different activities that they are doing at the moment using the present continuous. WARM UP: “Stop the game” The teacher selects a letter, the students start and write the words of different categories (first name, last name, fruit, animal and continuous verb) the students start to write with that letter and the player who guesses the most words wins! PRESENTATION: In the first place, an explanation of the present continuous will be given. Later, the teacher will show them a series of examples so that the students can understand the subject more easily and can already make short sentences themselves. The purpose of this activity is for students to have the ability to write texts with the present continuous. Example: Present continuous: Describe actions that occur at the exact moment of speaking or writing. Structure: Affirmative Subject + verb to be + verb in gerund + complement Negative Subject + verb to be + not + verb in gerund + complement Interrogative Verb to be + subject + verb in gerund + object PRACTICE: In the practical part, two exercises will be carried out to practice the subject. What are they doing? In the following activity, the teacher shows different images so that the students describe them using the present continuous according to what each person is doing. EVALUATION: The students will carry out an activity in which they will make a brief description choosing 5 numbers (1, 5., 14....) and then describe the actions that each one performs using the present continuous.
