1. Depending on the Motor manu facturer, air cooling system will vary.
 Cooling system can b e Air cooled or water cooled, for water cooled system see pag e 4/6.
2. Often, static exciters h ave cooling for the slip ring/brush interface on the rotor. Th is may be 
separate from the air us ed to cooled the generator.
3. Bru shles s exciters may use the same cooling air as the motor.
4. Review location on P&ID, co uld be ambien t or downstream of inlet air cooler.
5. Air temp. supplying cooling a ir to motor.
