Conteúdo Objetivos Para começar 5 minutos a. What do you know about cells? Use the columns below to write about what you know and what you want to know. Leave the third column blank. Para começar KWL Table – Cells and genetics inheritance What I know What I want to know What I have learned Foca no conteúdo Do you know what a cell is? In pairs, read the text below to answer the questions on the following slides. All living things have cells. Cells are considered the smallest part of living organisms. The human body has approximately 30 trillion cells that work in an integrated system. Cells are usually so small that they can only be seen through microscope. They are divided into three main parts: the nucleus, the cytoplasm and the membrane. Cells can be prokaryotes or eukaryotes. Prokaryotes are those cells that do not have a defined core surrounded by membranes. The eukaryotic cell has a nucleus delimited by the nuclear envelope. (Vocês sabem como o corpo humano é dividido? Completem as sentenças com as informações do texto abaixo no próximo slide.) The human body The human body is divided into three main parts: the head, the trunk and the limbs. The face is formed by the eyes, nose, mouth, ears and our hair. Inside the head we have the brain. It allows us to learn many things, such as speaking, balancing, walking and learning. The trunk consists of the neck, the chest (where the hearts is found), the abdomen (where our belly is) and the back. The limbs are divided into two parts, the upper limbs (arms, forearms, hands and fingers) and the lower limbs (tight, legs, feet and toes). Do you think the human body is similar to other living beings? Organize themselves in groups of five or six. They will do a search to find out the differences and similarities between a human body and other living beings. Follow the steps below: Aplicando Time for a hands-on activity! Sigam as instruções abaixo: Aplicando a. Choose a group of other vertebrate living beings (mammals, birds, reptiles, fish, and amphibians). b. Search for the number of cells they have and how their body is divided. c. Search for pictures and images to complement your search. Next class, you will make an oral presentation, sharing your search with your teacher and classmates. Time for a hands-on activity! Aplicando (a.
