Aphiemi (ἀφίημι) According to truth 
The sad fact that embarrasses me is how one’s value is reduced strictly to the pragmatic 
and utilitarian. Someone is useful only as long as they are needed, fading away once their 
purpose has been served. Discard follows occasion; the so-called “social utilitarian” 
camouflages themselves through fleeting interactions. This being deceives even the 
notion of Being itself, pretending to be supremely good, seemingly striving for virtue just 
as they receive it. However, when reason becomes clear and the ethics guided by Christ 
orient what is knowable – which always depends on the wisdom of the One who inclines 
toward the world, where worldly pleasures dominate – the aphiemi (ἀφίημι) manifests its 
essential nature: freedom. A freedom that liberates and forgives. Even the deceiver, the 
malicious one, has the choice to be free; or to remain bound by invisible chains (malitia).
