The scope of applied linguistics is very wide and vague. Justify the previous statement.
Resposta: Linguistics knows all the theory so Applied Linguistics can solve language related problems. It was
created in 1940, in the USA; it´s a interdisciplinary field of study, investigates theoretical and empirical real
world problems. Its central issue is language ­ it envolves language and education. We can also say that as
Linguistics know and have the knowledge, the Applied Linguistics made the knowledge.
Gabarito: It's wide and vague because language is implicated not only in educational matters, but in much of our
daily lives.

Resposta: Quantitative research is an objective method of inquiry which looks for explanatory laws, based on

"What".
