Sentence StructureSentence Structure
In English the verb usually comes after the subject. There is
ALWAYS a subject and verb in English sentences
This is one kind of a sentence.
You are young.
These are the parts of the sentence:
Subject: you
Verb: are
Complement: young
You are young.
S V C
This kind of sentence means this: You = young
Example: We are young.
S V C
My teacher is beautiful.
You are old.
We are fine.
Her brother is handsome.
Her handsome brother is 26
The pretty cat is nice.
They are 10 years old.
She is serious and smart.
We are students.
You are smart.
