Reading and speaking, present perfect tense.
WHAT IS THE LANTERN FEST?
It is a music festival held across the United States with food and the releasing of thousands of lanterns.
The Lantern Fest is an opportunity for thousands of people to join together as a Community and create an unforgettable spetacle of light. After an afternoon of live music and dancing , we wait for the sun to set and we light the sky with lanterns represeting our highest hopes, deepest regrets and fondest dreams.
Historically, lanterns were used to symbolize good fortune, request favorable weather, or celebrate the life of a loved one. At Lantern Fest you can be there to turn over a new leaf, or just to capture some likes on Instagram. Families and friends can dance to music, roast marshmallow, munch on some snacks provided by local vendors, all before watching the lanterns float away in an unforgettable release.
Also, the lanterns are super safe as long as you take precautions necessary for dealing with open flames. So, always follow the instructions and don’t light your lanterna until the announcement. When lighting, use care to keep away from flammable objects. Once released, the lanterns are completely safe, with a burn time shorter than it takes them to return to the ground.
