Um contrato de mandato é um contrato em que um sujeito chamado MANDANTE confia a realização de um ou mais atos jurídicos, que são onerosos e têm consequências legais, a um MANDATÁRIO que está obrigado a realizá-los em nome e/ou em nome do mandante. O MANDATÁRIO é obrigado a realizar os atos jurídicos que o mandante ordena. O MANDANTE ordena a realização de um ou mais atos jurídicos e está obrigado a pagar ou recompensar o mandatário.
