What are the steps to be taken when repairing an electronic device?
1. Check the line cord for cracks and abrasion. Recommend the replacement of any such line cord to the customer.
2. Check the exposed metal parts for any signs of damage or wear. Replace any damaged parts.
3. Look for parts that were not properly installed during a previous repair. Point them out to the customer and recommend their replacement.
4. Look for parts which, though functioning, show obvious signs of deterioration. Point them out of the customer and recommend their replacement.
5. Check the b+ voltage to see it is at the values specified.
6. Check the antenna terminals, metal trim, “metalized” knobs, screws, and all other exposed metal parts for ac leakage. Check leakage as described below.
I- The first step is to check the line cord for cracks and abrasion.
II- The second step is to check the exposed metal parts for any signs of damage or wear.
III- The third step is to look for parts that were not properly installed during a previous repair.
IV- The fourth step is to look for parts which, though functioning, show obvious signs of deterioration.
V- The fifth step is to check the AC leakage from any exposed metal part to earth ground and from all exposed metal parts to any exposed metal part having a Return to chassis, which must not exceed 0.5 mA (500 micro-ampers).
VI- The sixth step is to check the b+ voltage to see it is at the values specified.

The steps to be taken when repairing an electronic device are as follows: 1. Point them out to the customer and recommend their replacement. 5. Check the AC leakage from any exposed metal part to earth ground and from all exposed metal parts to any exposed metal part having a Return to chassis, which must not exceed 0.5 mA (500 micro-amperes). 6. Check the B+ voltage to see if it is at the specified values. The correct order of the steps is as follows: I- The first step is to check the line cord for cracks and abrasion. II- The second step is to check the exposed metal parts for any signs of damage or wear. III- The third step is to look for parts that were not properly installed during a previous repair. IV- The fourth step is to look for parts which, though functioning, show obvious signs of deterioration. V- The fifth step is to check the AC leakage from any exposed metal part to earth ground and from all exposed metal parts to any exposed metal part having a Return to chassis, which must not exceed 0.5 mA (500 micro-amperes). VI- The sixth step is to check the B+ voltage to see if it is at the specified values.
