Complementary transistors are a pair of NPN and PNP transistors that have similar characteristics, such as the same maximum current and voltage ratings, but with opposite polarities. They are often used in electronic circuits, such as amplifiers and motor control circuits, to improve efficiency and performance. In Class B Amplifiers, for example, complementary transistors are used to amplify both the positive and negative halves of the input signal, resulting in a more efficient output.
