What are the limitations of the Parliamentary Commissions of Inquiry (CPIs)?
The CPI can determine the breaking of fiscal, banking, and data secrecy, as long as it is a decision based on legal formalities and motivated.
The CPI cannot investigate acts of jurisdictional content, such as reviewing the grounds of a judicial sentence.
The CPI cannot carry out certain acts of jurisdiction attributed exclusively to the Judiciary, such as search and seizure, interception of telephone communications, and arrest (except in flagrante delicto).
The CPI must respect the federal pact and cannot constrain people or treat them inhumanely or degradingly.
The final report of the CPI is only sent to the competent bodies and has no effects in itself and does not bind.

As limitações das Comissões Parlamentares de Inquérito (CPIs) são: 1. A CPI não pode investigar atos de conteúdo jurisdicional, como revisar os fundamentos de uma sentença judicial. 2. A CPI não pode realizar certos atos de jurisdição atribuídos exclusivamente ao Judiciário, como busca e apreensão, interceptação de comunicações telefônicas e prisão (exceto em flagrante delito). 3. A CPI deve respeitar o pacto federativo e não pode constranger pessoas ou tratá-las de forma desumana ou degradante. 4. O relatório final da CPI é enviado apenas aos órgãos competentes e não tem efeitos em si mesmo e não vincula.
