Neste exercício, serão aplicados os conhecimentos adquiridos para explicar com se escreve os números de 1 a 60 na língua inglesa.

Os números de 1 a 12 não possuem regra a respeito da forma de escrita. Sabendo disso, tem-se que a escrita deles se dá da seguinte forma:

- 1: One.

- 2: Two.

- 3: Three.

- 4: Four.

- 5: Five.

- 6: Six.

- 7: Seven.

- 8: Eight.

- 9: Nine.

- 10: Ten.

- 11: Eleven.

- 12: Twelve.

Já a escrita dos números de 13 a 19 são os números teen (adolescente). Sua escrita possui uma regra: (palavra da casa das unidades) + teen. Essa regra está explícita a seguir:

- 13: Thirteen (Three + Teen).

- 14: Fourteen (Four + Teen).

- 15: Fifteen (Five + Teen).

- 16: Sixteen (Six + Teen).

- 17: Seventeen (Seven + Teen).

- 18: Eighteen (Eight + Teen).

- 19: Nineteen (Nine + Tenn).

Os números de 20 a 99 possuem as seguintes regras:

- 20, 30, 40, ... 90: (palavra da casa das dezenas) + (sufixo ty)

- 21, 22, 23...; 31, 32, 33...: (palavra da casa das dezenas) + (palavra da casa das unidades diferente de zero).

Essas regras estão explícitas a seguir:

- 20: Twenty (two + ty).

- 21: Twenty-one (Twenty + One).

- 22: Twenty-two (Twenty + Two).

- 23: Twenty-three (Twenty + Three).

- Etc...

- 30: Thirty (three + ty).

- 31: Thirty-one (Thirty + One).

- 32: Thirty-two (Thirty + Two).

- 33: Thirty-three (Thirty + Three).

- Etc..

- 40: Forty (Four + ty).

- 50: Fifty (Five + ty).

- 60: Sixty (Six + ty).

Resumidamente, deve-se conhecer a escrita dos números fundamentais (1 a 9) para saber a escrita de números com dois ou mais algarismos. Além disso, deve-se conhecer os sufixos teen e ty.
