Present Continuous Enquanto o Simple Present é utilizado para falar de hábitos e fatos, o Present Continuous é utilizado para falar de ações que estão em progresso. P R E S E N T E C O N T Í N U O Tempos verbais Situações quais podemos utilizar o Present Continuous: 1- Para falar de algo que é temporário. 2- Para falar de ações mais longas em progresso, que ainda não acabaram. 3- Para falar de algo que acontece repetidamente ( geralmente reclamar de algo). *** É possível utilizar o Present Continuous quando queremos falar de algo que já está planejado para um futuro próximo. They are flying to Casablanca next week. FORMA AFIRMATIVA: sujeito+ be+ verbo principal+ ing+ complemento. FORMA NEGATIVA: sujeito+ be+not+ verbo principal+ ing+ complemento. * Se os verbos terminam com -e, e são precedidos de consoante, tira-se o -e para acrescentar -ing: bake baking make making take taking Simple Present Enquanto o Simple Present é utilizado para falar de hábitos e fatos, o Present Continuous é utilizado para falar de ações que estão em progresso. P R E S E N T E S I M P L E S Tempos verbais Se o verbo possuir apenas uma sílaba e terminar em CVC (consoante, vogal, consoante), dobra-se a última consoante e acrescenta-se o -ing: cut cutting put putting run running Se o verbo terminar em -ie, substitui-se o -ie por -y e acrescenta-se o -ing: die dying lie lying tie tying Alguns exemplos de uso do Past Continuous: They are not talking with each other after the last argument.
