OBJECT 1.
This document describes the SENSATIC RPC-TP2 software update procedure and provides 
information on panel displayed screen rotation. 
SOFTWARE UPDATE 2.
SUPPLIED SOFTWARE 2.1.
Software updates are usually provided within the following folders: 
 
The file for performing system software updating, named: 
6601614_OS_V##.#.##.bis 
is saved in folder updsys 
 
The file for performing application software updating, named: 
6601461_RPC-Sensatic-STM_key-TLC_V##.#.##.bis 
is saved in the folder updapp 
 
(the characters # are place holders of the specific version number to be installed) 
 
 
The software update is usually provided as packed compressed file, for instance 
Sensatic2.0_Rpc_v.A.01.01.X01.zip. Before starting the update procedure, please extract 
the folders included in the .zip file. 
 
 
2.2.HOW TO PERFORM THE SOFTWARE UPDATING 2.2.
2.2.1. USB FLASHDRIVE SETUP 
Copy into an empty formatted (type FAT32) USB flash drive, the folders with the software 
updates (one or both): 
 
 
 
 
 
SOFTWARE UPDATE PROCEDURE 2.3.
 From main menù select SETTINGS and then GENERALS (Figura 1)

 On the following screen (Figura 2) touch the tab SYSTEM, then COMMANDS. Enable 
the field UPDATE AT NEXT START. 
 Power off the device 
 Insert the USB flash drive into the USB connector 
 Power on the device 
 The controller installs the software updates during the self-diagnosis function. The 
updating lasts about 2 minutes. Wait until the system restarts. 
 From main menù select again SETTINGS and then GENERALS, touch the tab 
SYSTEM, then VERSION. To check if the software versions installed are correct, 
please control that the version codes correspond to the expected ones. 
 It is now time to remove the flash drive from the USB connector. Touch the tab 
COMMANDS and enable the field SAFE USB REMOVAL (Figura 3):

 Get out the flash drive. 
NOTICE 3.
During updating: 
 Do not remove USB flash drive 
 Do not turn off the Device. 
 
ATTENTION 
The device may be seriously damaged if it is powered off or if the USB flash drive is 
removed while software update is in progress.
