Você sabe qual é a diferença entre how many e how much? © Flaticon.com 2025_AF_V1 Countable and uncountable nouns Em inglês, temos os countable nouns (substantivos contáveis), que são palavras que representam coisas que podem ser contadas, como objetos, pessoas e animais. Essas palavras têm formas no singular e no plural, como: apple/apples (maçã), sandwich/ sandwiches (sanduíche). Porém, temos também os uncountable nouns (substantivos incontáveis), que representam coisas que não são contadas individualmente, como líquidos ou conceitos abstratos. Alguns dos substantivos em língua inglesa que não têm forma no plural são: water (água), milk (leite) e information (informação).
