Speech and Role-Play to convince members of Parliament to approve a Bill that would turn the Country into a Tax Haven MPs: Mr Speaker, Mr President, Members of Parliament Mr Speaker: I have a document which contains a draft proposal for a new law - “Bill”. The objective is to convince members of parliament. Before a Bill comes to Parliament, the President must convince the members of parliament to approve a bill that would turn the country into a tax haven. I call Mr President to intervene. Mr President: Before I go any further, I urge every member of both parties, people of all religions and of all colours, from every section of this nation, to join me in that cause. Also, I would like to inform you that the tax system is a way that ensures the development of any nation. It is also a key part of the socio-economic growth. Members of Parliament: In which way Mr President would turn the country into a tax haven? Mr President: To make a haven the tax system of our country, the best way to achieve therefore, is to reorganize the tax system, following by an improvement of tax concepts aiming at especially yield enough money to develop our resources in the face of social reality that the country goes through to the present day. Members of Parliament: In which way Mr President would reorganize the tax system in our country? Mr President: It is essential to improve the system and introduce major changes that resulted in the introduction of principles of social justice, simplicity, efficiency and effectiveness of the tax system doing: enlargement of tax base; increase the elasticity of revenue in relation to the growth of Gross Domestic Product; introducing Value Added Tax as a major source of revenue for state coffers; increase the level of tax revenue modernizing the tax system and Rationalize the system of tax benefits; implement a new income tax system and a great information and training of those who are in this area and establishing bases for guarantees for taxpayers among others.
