Global final (Exam will be written in China) Registration If you haven’t done the registration, please do register first according to the following steps. Step 1 : Register login account Registered using the following Link The link below will navigate the students to the Huawei Academy registration page. The students must follow the steps on the attached guide in order to register for the ICT competition. Once your status changes from register to registered, then it means you have registered for the ICT competition and now have access to the following: Online learning materials and Online mock exam (No limitation for students) After you successfully registered in our competition, you can prepare for the competition by online self-study by accessing the learning materials and trying our mock exam online. The students may access the mock exam anywhere, write it anytime and have multiple attempts to write it. Follow the two steps below: Step 1: Please login this link and click (Competition Space) https://www.huaweiacad.com/webapps/hw-toboo- BBLEARN/portal/exec.do?operation=match_south_africa&t=1534774055739 Step 2: click (Learning materials) and (mock Exam) Preliminary In this phase, a total of two exams will be written in each country, namely: 1. First Exam – Online test 2. Second Exam — HCNA-R&S First Exam—Online Test All the students will who have registered for the competition will have two attempts to write the exam. They may use their laptops to write the exams and will be able to access the exam anywhere and can write it anytime. Date: 17th Sep to 28th Oct How to take the first exam Step 1: Please click (Preliminary Exam) in order to access the first exam Step 2: Please click on the red arrow to start Second Exam—HCNA-R&S Exam Based on the results that the students have received for the first exam, the top 100 students who get the highest scores will be selected to write the second exam on the HCNA-Routing and Switching field. Please note the following about the second exam: We have 5 fields namely: 1. HCNA – Routing and Switching 2. HCNA – Cloud Computing 3. HCNA – Storage 4. HCNA – WLAN 5. HCNA – Security For the second exam in your country, we will concentrate on routing and switching, but if the student have written the exam for HCNA-Routing and switching and feel confident to pursue the other fields, they are more than welcomed to do so. Content explanation Students will be able to demonstrate a basic understanding of small and medium-sized networks, including general network technologies, and the ability to assist the design of small and medium-sized networks, and implement the designs using Huawei routing and switching devices. HCNA-Routing&Switching curriculum includes, but is not limited to the following: Network fundamentals; Basic connection methods of popular networks; Basic network construction; Troubleshooting of common network faults; Installation and commissioning of Huawei routing and switching devices. Location/Venue/Exam Duration The exam will be written at the university. A notice with a list of possible dates and venue will be the second exam should be written will be sent to the candidates who rank the TOP 100, the candidates can select a suitable date when can write the exam. Students will be given two hours to write the exam, but if they finish before the time elapses, they are free to leave. Rules If a student fails the HCNA-R&S exam at the first time, they will be granted another chance to write the exam again. Unfortunately if they pass on their second attempt, their score will not be valid to be ranked in order to get a prize but the student will get a certificate which is internationally recognized. Outcomes of the preliminary phase All students who pass the HCNA-Routing and switching exam will get an internationallyrecognized certificate The top 11 students will receive big prizes and the other students will receive small gifts Award Ceremony After the preliminary phase, we will organize an award ceremony to recognize the students’ achievements and accomplishments. Date: 26 November – 7th Dec Dates may vary according to the different countries. Note: 1. The top 3 students who have received good results in their second exam (HCNA- R&S) will be selected to move to the Regional phase of the ICT competition in South Africa. 2. The top two teams who have received good results in the regional phase in South Africa will go to China for the final round of the competition.
