Summary 
 
 
The text ‘’Global Implications of Patent Law Variation,’’ raises the issue of the 
problems involved in the inconsistency in the world's patent law. 
The inventor can claim ownership of his invention as soon as he files for a patent. 
However, the laws ruling patent owners may differ depending on the country. The 
USA for example, the patent law is a first-to-invent policy. 
The United States fails to acknowledge patent ownership of foreign inventors, 
therefore violating the Paris Convention on Industrial Properties, forcing WIPO to 
demand from The USA to reconsider its ownership law axiom.
