Some examples of these characteristics of diversity are race, ethnicity, gender, age, religion, ability, and sexual orientation. What diversity issues do you think are relevant to modern Australian society? I believe that diversity generates discrimination based on race and culture, violence against women, stereotypes. Privacy Laws Many of the companies with business transactions depend on the use of their customers' personal information. When your company collects and uses personal information, you must protect and respect your customers' privacy. Respecting privacy helps to attract customers. The Privacy Act establishes rules on the handling of information, including how the organization can collect, use, store and disclose personal information. e. Health and safety at work This law aims to protect the health and safety of everyone in the workplace, while carrying out work activities or using specified high-risk facilities. As an employer, there are standards that must be respected, such as: providing and maintaining a safe workplace, developing and monitoring procedures for the use, handling, storage and transportation of goods and substances, maintaining the workplace in a safe and healthy manner, etc. f.
