E N G L I S H / teacher Fábio Gutterres Fernandes (51) 99833.0805 / fabio.gutterres@canoasedu.rs.gov.br AULA #10: POSSESSIVE ADJECTIVES a ⇛ Usamos os possessive adjectives para indicar posse ou parentesco. Em português, normalmente chamamos de pronomes possessivos. Os possessive adjectives são: my → our your → your his ↘ her → their its ↗ b ⇛ Uma característica dos possessive adjectives é que eles sempre estão acompanhados de um substantivo. Ex: Maria is with her father. These are our suitcases. What’s your name? Julia and her brother. Alex is with his camera. Tony and his grandmother. Anna is with her walkman. c ⇛ ATENÇÃO! Às vezes, os possessive adjectives não vão combinar com o substantivo em gênero (masculino e feminino) e número (singular e plural). Por quê? Porque ele se refere à pessoa que possui e não ao objeto. Veja nos exemplos acima. ⇛ EXERCISES ⇚ 1) Complete o que Mary está dizendo com “my”, “your”, “his”, “her”, “our” ou “their”. My name is Mary. _________ family name is Adams. What about you? What’s _________ first name? And what’s _________ family name? I’m married. You can see _________ husband in the photo. _________ name is Arthur. We have one son and one daughter. _________ son is 20. _________ name is Nick. _________ daughter is 25. _________ name is Emily. Emily is married. _________ husband’s name is Bruce. Emily and Bruce have two children. _________ names are Ken and Eva. ∞ GABARITO Respostas na sequência do texto: my, your, your, my, his, our, his, our, her, her, their.
