Read the following excerpt, from Mrs. Dolloway, by Virginia Woolf:
"They had just come up - unfortunately - to see doctors. Other people came to see pictures; go to the opera; take their daughters out; the Whitbreads came "to see doctors." Times without number Clarissa had visited Evelyn Whitbread in a nursing home. Was Evelyn ill again? Evelyn was a good deal out of sorts, said Hugh, intimating by a kind of pout or swell of his very well-covered, manly, extremely handsome, perfectly upholstered body (he was almost too well dressed always, but presumably had to be, with his little job at Court) that his wife had some internal ailment, nothing serious, which, as an old friend, Clarissa Dalloway would quite understand without requiring him to specify. Ah yes, she did of course; what a nuisance; and felt very sisterly and oddly conscious at the same time of her hat. Not the right hat for the early morning, was that it?"
Write a text in English, where you situate the excerpt in the main thematic usually exploited by the author Virginia Woolf.

	Resposta Esperada:
Virginia Woolf's main topic is feminism and the position of women in society.
In the excerpt, Clarissa Dolloway meets her friend Hugh, a handsome and elegant boy who she's been friend with since childhood. He is now married, Clarissa considers, suddenly, that there is something in the air, ending by pretending she was just wearing the wrong hat for the occasion.
A second point to stress is that they've just caught up while going to visit doctors. Clarisse was actually visiting a girl at the hospital, Evelyn. The girl is shown as a weak person, usually sick (opposing to the boy, whose health is perfect).
The thematics opposing men x women are largely exploited by the author, this can also be perceived in the excerpt, where only one male character appears among three female ones: Clarissa, Evelyn, and Hugh's wife. And more, if we consider the "daughters".

	Resposta Esperada:
John Milton was born into a wealthy family, and spend most of his time isolated from society. He had some talent for music which contributed to his style of language. Milton also suffered from bad quality of sight, and eventually, total blindness.
In Lost Paradise, he tells the story of the fail of Satan, and later on, the fail of men. Paradise regained is a sequence of Paradise Lost and Jesus Christ descends to Earth to save the Lost Paradise.
His blindness seems to have contributed to deepen his view and descriptions of Hell and Heaven and produce great combats of angels and demons in paradise with accurate details.
