A2_Introdução à Língua Inglesa ´Plant blindness´ is a term created by the American botanists and biology educators Elisabeth Schussler and James Wanders, in 1998. It´s about the ´inability´ of people seeing or noticing plants in their own environment. But, when talking about animals, this ability really occurs, according to the study of ´attentional blink´, which took place in the United States. The studied text brought some ´unnecessary´ information that made it long and a bit tiring. Omitting it, we would have had a shorter an streamlined text , without the lack of relevant information. It spent the readers´ time, for example, mentioning the details about the studies showing children recognizing and remembering more about the last images of animals seen, than the plants´.
