The English language shows a high occurrence of groups of consonants and/or groups of vowels. Some of these groups do not allow that the letters be pronounced individually. In this case, one talk about "silent letters". Write a text in english where you explain the phenomenon of silent letters.
	Resposta Esperada:
*Silent letters occur in the many languages. In the English language, the phenomenon started around the Middle English, when new words were created, such as "delit" which becomes "delight". Letters "gh" were added but pronouncing has not changed at all.
*It usually occurs when a certain sequence of letters appears in an order in the word. For example: K + N at the begining generates a silent "k"; the "t" when between "s" + le, as in Castle; The t sound is also often silent when between "s" + "m" (christmas), s and n (listen) and f and n (often).
*Many other letters can be silent, depending on this position. How can one know the exact pronounciation of a word? With much practice of the language, by knowing the sequences, but, mainly, by always trying to carefully listen to the sound of the word, especially on online addresses where one can hear the exact sound of words.

According to phonetics studies, a syllable corresponds to one sound emission. For example clock: even if there are many sounds, only one emission occurs. In this example, you may observe groups of consonants grouped all together. Write a text in english where you present the groups of consonants that may occupy the so-called onset position.
	Resposta Esperada:
Onset is the position when starting the syllabe. The most common is that one consonant appears in the onset position, as in Sit. But one also may find the following sequences: C + C = Flee; C + C + C = straw. According to the first consonant in this sequence of consonants, some letters that follow may never occur. For example: B (C + C) may never be followed by K or S; The sequence CCC Always starts with S. This reduces this group of consonants when in the onset position
