JC6/JC7 software upgrade procedure
DO NOT MIX UP SOFTWARE FOR DIFFERENT JC6 TYPE
Always use latest software available
Always use a STAUBLI USB key (delivered with each JC6/JC7) to insure secured software upgrade
NEVER load an older software except if requested by R&D or electronic hotline
Normal software update (must be prefered):
� Write down customer loom adaptation number, current design and pick number 
� Change loom adaptation number to 255 
� Put USB key on JC6/JC7 
� JC button (from main menu) 
� SOFTWARE 
� ADD 
� Select USB key 
� Select all needed software files 
� Press INSTALL button 
� Let the JC6 do the job 
� CLOSE 
� CLOSE 
� OK 
� Let the JC6/JC7 restart 
� Check software has been loaded in JC button (from main menu), SOFTWARE menu 
� Reselect customer loom adaptation number 
� Check / redo Jacquard comfiguration 
� Reselect hooking file 
� Check current design and pick number
Last four steps are MANDATORY to insure proper configuration and weaving restart without trouble.
Forced software update (only if above did not work):
� Write down customer loom adaptation number, current design and pick number 
� Change loom adaptation number to 255 
� Turn power OFF 
� Put USB key on JC6/JC7 
� Press and keep press RESET button on LOGICALIM board 
� Turn power ON 
� Release RESET button on LOGICALIM board 
� JC6/JC7 small display should show "Booting USB". If it says "Booting HD", USB key has not been 
detected, remove it and put it again or update.img file is not the proper one or is missing or files are 
not in USB root folder 
� Do panel calibration when requested 
� Select "View and verify installed software. Install software from USB key". Other options are if that 
one did not work, as some or all data will be lost. 
� ADD 
� Select USB key 
� Select all needed software files 
� Press INSTALL button 
� Let the JC6/JC7 do the job 
� CLOSE 
� CLOSE 
� OK 
� Let the JC6/JC7 restart
