Even more famous at “Festa Junina” is 
a dance called “Quadrilha”. 
 
The celebrations have a rural 
character. From babies to old people, 
everybody dresses colorful clothes and 
paint mustaches at men´s faces and 
pink blush with a few black dots on 
women´s faces. 
All kinds of corn dishes are 
traditionally part of the celebrations, 
such as “canjica”, “pamonha”. People 
also eat “pé-de-moleque, “maçã do 
amor” and popcorn.
