Quando é que foi fundado: 
A história começa em 1866, quando a Anglo-Swiss Condensed Milk Company abre a primeira fábrica de leite condensado da Europa na Suíça. Henri Nestlé desenvolve um alimento infantil revolucionário em 1867, e em 1905 a empresa criada por ele se funde com a Anglo-Swiss para formar o que hoje é conhecido como Grupo Nestlé. Durante esse período de crescimento das cidades, aumento das estradas de ferro e dos navios a vapor, ocorre uma redução nos custos das commodities, o que estimula o comércio internacional de bens de consumo

O fundador da Nestlé, o farmacêutico alemão Henri Nestlé, lança sua “Farinha Láctea” em Vevey, Suíça. É uma combinação de leite de vaca, farinha de trigo e açúcar, que Nestlé desenvolve para ser consumida por bebês que não podem ser amamentados, para ajudar a combater as altas taxas de mortalidade infantil. Nessa época ele também começa a usar o atualmente icônico logotipo do Ninho com os passarinhos.

O crescimento orgânico atingiu 3,6% em 2020, o maior nível dos últimos cinco anos. O crescimento real (RIG) acelerou para 3,2%. A variação de preços contribuiu com 0,4% e melhorou durante o ano, principalmente nos mercados emergentes.
O crescimento foi baseado no forte impulso na Zona Américas e no desenvolvimento robusto de vendas na Zona EMENA. A Zona AOA teve um crescimento positivo. O crescimento orgânico nos mercados desenvolvidos foi sólido, chegando a 3,8%. O crescimento nos mercados emergentes melhorou durante o ano e atingiu 3,4%.

 The decision fueled the rivalry of both brands also in the yogurt markets, as well as mineral water. 
Criticisms associated with the company:
 received accusations of misleading nutritional information and of sponsoring studies with health professionals. 
breast-feeding advocates accused Nestlé of using aggressive marketing tactics that led mothers to abandon breastfeeding in favor of the formula.  
Nestlé was also sued for child slavery, The lawsuit was filed by the International Rights Advocates, on behalf of children who were forced to work on plantations in Côte d'Ivoire, a country that produces more than 40%(forty Percent) of the cocoa marketed in the world. The subject was the subject of a report in The Guardian.  
Product that launched the company in a the market: 
The product that launched Nestlé on the market was lactic flour, which proved effective in feeding children in the first months of life and was exported to other countries in Europe such as Germany, France and the United Kingdom. The news about the new infant flour ran quickly through the villages located around Lake Geneva and other mothers took their children to Henri Nestlé. It wasn’t long before doctors and scientists became interested in the new product.
