Assess the following statements regarding their truthfulness - V for TRUE, or F for FALSE.
I - Sacristán (2007) argues that the functions of teachers are known and possible in theory, but in practice, their role is often restricted to the mere exercise of teaching (if that!). For him, this impoverishment is directly linked to idealistic conceptions and a reductionism of actions as a defense mechanism to respond to the needs of adaptation to the system as a whole.
II - Roles and functions of the teacher (identity) are clear and absolutely understood as a performance project. In this sense, teaching must follow theory without any kind of improvisation in the face of reality.
III - To be respected, one must make oneself respected, to face new situations one must first know them, to attract culture one must be attractive by communicating it, to be appreciated as a valuable person one must show the usefulness of the service provided. All this requires teachers motivated by their profession, good connoisseurs of the world in which we live, of young people, self-assured, who know how to convert content into living culture and, in rational procedures, teaching methods and student requirements. In other words, cultured, well-educated, vocationally and balanced teachers are necessary (SACRISTÁN, 2007, p. 171).
