Describe the characteristics of the upper lateral incisor (12 and 22).
- Similar to the central incisor but on a smaller scale
- Trapezoidal crown shape
- Thin root with slight MD flattening and pronounced curvature in the apical third towards distopalatal
- Transverse sections show an ovoid shape at the cervical and middle levels and a circular shape closer to the apex
- 3% of the time may have 2 canals, one vestibular and one palatal
- May have the presence of a supernumerary tooth
- Average length: 22mm
- Number of roots: 1
- Number of canals: 1 (97%), 2 (3%)
