Sals are ionic compounds that dissociate in aqueous solution, forming at least one cation different from hydrogen and one anion different from hydroxyl and oxygen.
Salts can be obtained through neutralization reactions between an acid and a base.
The name of a salt is formed by the cation name followed by the anion name.
