The lethal force triangle is a decision-making model designed to develop your ability to respond to force encounters, remaining within the law and acceptable parameters. The three sides of an equilateral triangle represent three factors: ability, opportunity, and risk. Correlate the columns that represent these 3 factors:

1. Ability: refers to the potential of the suspect to use their ability to kill or seriously injure. An unarmed suspect, but very tall and strong, may have the ability to seriously injure or kill a smaller and less conditioned person. However, the opportunity does not exist if the suspect is 20 meters away, for example. Similarly, a suspect armed with a knife has the ability to kill or seriously injure, but opportunity may be lacking if you increase the distance between the parties - in this case, you and him - or in the search for shelter.
2. Opportunity: physical ability of the suspect to cause harm to a public security agent or another innocent person.
3. Risk: the level of danger posed by the suspect's actions, including the severity of the crime, the suspect's mental state, and the presence of weapons or other dangerous objects.
a. 2 - 1 - 3
b. 3 - 1 - 2
c. 1 - 2 - 3
