What are the general instructions for measuring skinfolds?

Identify and mark the location to be measured;
Hold the skinfold formed by the skin and adipose tissue with the thumb and index finger of the left hand 1 cm from the marked point;
Pinch the skinfold with the caliper exactly at the marked location;
Keep the skinfold between your fingers until the end of the measurement;
Read the measurement in the nearest millimeter in about 2 to 3 seconds;
Use the average of three measurements.

As instruções gerais para medir dobras cutâneas são:

1. Identificar e marcar o local a ser medido;
2. Segurar a dobra cutânea formada pela pele e tecido adiposo com o polegar e o indicador da mão esquerda a 1 cm do ponto marcado;
3. Beliscar a dobra cutânea com o paquímetro exatamente no local marcado;
4. Manter a dobra cutânea entre os dedos até o final da medição;
5. Ler a medida no milímetro mais próximo em cerca de 2 a 3 segundos;
6. Usar a média de três medidas.
