Durante o teste visual e dimensional de uma junta preparada para soldagem, deve-se observar a conformidade da preparação do chanfro e da montagem da junta em relação ao ângulo do chanfro, abertura da raiz, desalinhamento e pré-deformação. Também deve ser realizada a inspeção dimensional das pernas da solda e da espessura da alma na junta em T nos pontos 1 e 2 no corpo da peça, conforme mostrado na figura 2, apenas no lado indicado na folha de teste (A ou B).
