What are the situations in which the benefit will be suspended or ceased?

I - The benefit will be suspended in case of identification of irregularities and the beneficiary will be notified and granted a period of ten days to present a defense.
II - If it is not possible to notify the beneficiary, the benefit value will be blocked.
III - The benefit will be suspended if the beneficiary, legal representative or attorney is notified and does not present a defense within ten days.
IV - The benefit will be suspended if the defense presented is insufficient.
V - The benefit will be suspended if the beneficiary does not contact the INSS or other authorized channels within thirty days, counted from the blockage.
VI - The benefit will be suspended if the absence of the beneficiary is reported by the legal representative or attorney.
VII - The benefit will be ceased in case of death, presumed death or absence of the beneficiary.
VIII - The benefit will be ceased if the beneficiary, legal representative or attorney does not file an appeal to the CRSS within thirty days, counted from the suspension of the benefit.
IX - The benefit will be ceased if the appeal to the CRSS is not granted.
