Languages do not always place words in the same order in the sentence. In English you may say: I saw a nice movie yesternight. In Portuguese, however, this may be restituted as "Vi um filme legal ontem a note". Not only words have moved from one place to another but also not all of them appear in the Portuguese version exactly the same way they appeared in English. About these changes, read the following sentences: I- "Vi" corresponds to the English two words "I saw". II- "Um filme" corresponds to the English "movie", III- "Nice movie" corresponds in Portuguese to "filme legal", but could also be "belo filme", depending on the context of this sentence. IV- "Movie" could be translated as "longa metragem" without any change in the meaning.
