2x/√‾x²+4‾‾' todos os termos estao dentro da raiz.
Neste exercício, serão calculados os seguintes limites:
\(\Longrightarrow \left \{ \begin{matrix} \lim_{x \to +\infty} {2x \over \sqrt{x^2+4}} &(I)\\ \lim_{x \to -\infty} {2x \over \sqrt{x^2+4}} & (II) \end{matrix} \right.\)
O limite \((I)\) representa o limite pela direita e o limite \((II)\), pela esquerda.
Começando pelo limite \((I)\), o resultado é:
\(\Longrightarrow \lim_{x \to +\infty} {2x \over \sqrt{x^2+4}} = \lim_{x \to +\infty} {2x /x \over (\sqrt{x^2+4})/x}\)
\(= \lim_{x \to +\infty} {2 \over \sqrt{x^2/x^2+4/x^2}}\)
\(= \lim_{x \to +\infty} {2 \over \sqrt{1+4/x^2}}\)
\(={2 \over \sqrt{1+0}}\)
\(\Longrightarrow \fbox {$ \lim_{x \to +\infty} {2x \over \sqrt{x^2+4}} = +2 $}\)
Agora, vamos para o limite \((II)\).
\(\Longrightarrow \lim_{x \to -\infty} {2x \over \sqrt{x^2+4}} \)
Substituindo uma outra variável \(x=-y\) no limite \((II)\), o resultado é:
\(\Longrightarrow \lim_{x \to -\infty} {2x \over \sqrt{x^2+4}} = \lim_{-y \to -\infty} {2\cdot (-y) \over \sqrt{(-y)^2+4}} \)
\(= \lim_{y \to +\infty} {-2 y \over \sqrt{y^2+4}} \)
\(= \lim_{y \to +\infty} {-2y/y \over \sqrt{y^2/y^2+4/y^2}} \)
\(= \lim_{y \to +\infty} {-2 \over \sqrt{1+4/y^2}} \)
\(= {-2 \over \sqrt{1+0}} \)
\(\Longrightarrow \fbox {$ \lim_{x \to -\infty} {2x \over \sqrt{x^2+4}} = -2 $}\)
Concluindo, o limite pela direita é igual a \(\fbox {$ +2 $}\). E o limite pela esquerda é igual a \(\fbox {$ -2 $}\).
