Shopping Guard Rubia Elise de Almeida It was almost 6:00 pm, Friday, the crowded mall as usual. The guard in battered uniform and looking away. Suddenly, the crowd moves, several isolated groups, to the food court, but the guard is still there at his post, with no expression that would make him notice. Common, only. Invisible, only. It is true that he was no longer so young, it is true that by irony and many twists of life, his dream had culminated there, mall guard, bachelor, a grown-up uncle. True, she had loved one day. Poor love Yes, and how you love it !! It was at the beginning of his youth, he was in his early twenties, a handsome and obstinate boy. Military career, they said, was the best for those who were not lucky enough to be born in a cradle of gold. But, it's all over ... But not before meeting a young girl of ordinary beauty, but breathtaking, what was her name? Just a faint reminder ... It lasted little, but it was intense. The guard's reveries were interrupted by an audible: - Catch the thief!! The ragged teenager crossed in front of the guard in a bullet, the guard went in pursuit, running too clumsily to have any advantage. The brat should not have been more than fifteen, dirty and badly dressed, he ran with all his might to avoid being reached, he finally crossed the lustrous doors of the mall that led to the busy street. The weary guard stopped for a second, long enough to look at the boy. The meeting of the looks, although only a second seemed an eternity ... Those sad eyes ... he saw every day in front of the mirror, those eyes were like yours ... -It would be possible? Thought The boy sped off, too fast to be caught in pursuit. In the guard's eyes, fifteen years ago, that pretty girl shone, but then the darkness took over again, he returned to his sad routine, too cowardly to go for answers.
