Grammar Focus - Subject Pronouns
The subject of a sentence is a person or thing that performs the action of
the verb. Subject pronouns are used to replace the subject of a verb to
avoid repetition.
We don’t normally say: We say:
John is tall and John is intelligent. John is tall and he is intelligent.
More examples:
Brazil is a big country. It’s where I live.
John and I are students and we are from California.
My parents are travelling. They are in San Francisco.

When to use It:
A. We use the pronoun it when we are referring to an
object, thing or animal.
