I did not visit the city of Goiás, I just walked through the city.
(Não visitei a cidade de Goiás, apenas passei pela cidade.)
Did you visit the city Goias? What did you know there?
I visited the city of Goiás when I was a teenager, I found the streets and houses different.
(Visitei a cidade de Goiás quando era adolescente, encontrei as ruas e as casas diferentes)

What is the most interesting in Goias for you?
I find the structure of the city interesting. Goiás-GO is different, it reminds me of colonial houses from 1500 to 1830.
(Acho a estrutura da cidade interessante. Goiás-GO é diferente, faz me lembrar de casas coloniais de 1500 a 1830.)
In the city of Goiás what I find most interesting is the flavor of the food, 
which is delicious, and the shapes of the houses and the streets.
(Na cidade de Goiás o que eu acho mais interessante é o sabor da comida, que é deliciosa, e as formas das casas e das ruas).
 What is the biblical staging of the Procession of the Fogaréu?
The procession stages the arrest of Jesus Christ and begins at 0:00 on Maundy Thursday, with the streetlights off and to the sound of drums, at the door of the Church of Good Death in the main square of the city. Traditionally, 40 Farricocos dressed in special costumes and holding torches represent Roman soldiers.The Fogaréu Procession has taken place for more than 260 years in the city of Goiás, former capital of the state, during Holy Week. With a mixture of religiosity and folklore, the ritual would have arrived at the Arraial de Sant'Anna - which originated the city of Goiás - during the gold exploitation by the Portuguese.
Qual é a encenação bíblica da Procissão do Fogaréu?
A procissão encena a prisão de Jesus Cristo e tem início a 0:00 da quinta-feira santa, com a iluminação pública apagada e ao som de tambores, à porta da Igreja da Boa Morte, na praça principal da cidade. Tradicionalmente, 40 Farricocos vestidos em indumentária especial e segurando tochas, representam soldados romanos. A Procissão do Fogaréu acontece há mais de 260 anos na cidade de Goiás, antiga capital do Estado, por ocasião da Semana Santa. Com uma mistura de religiosidade e folclore, o ritual teria chegado ao Arraial de Sant’Anna – que deu origem à Cidade de Goiás – durante a exploração do ouro pelos portugueses.
Rise to the sky – (Erguer/ crescer para o céu)
Os chapéus servem como alusão aos galhos da árvore, que crescem apontando para o céu. Outro sentido para os chapéus em forma de cone é a evocação de uma aproximação do penitente ao céu.

Faz parte da tradição manter sigilo sobre a identidade dos participantes. O ato de penitência deve ser mantido em sigilo e nunca se vangloriar dele, como demosntração de humildade e resguardo.
