The reflexive pronouns
Mark made himself a sandwich.
Vicky had to force herself to eat.
The children watched themselves on video.
Where can we put the reflexive pronouns on the sentence?
Usually, is used after the verb, but:
To emphasize the subject -> the pronoun comes after the subject or in the end of the sentence.
To emphasize the idea of “alone” or ”no help” -> is used the preposition BY before the pronoun.
Obs.: Normally, we don’t use reflexive pronoun with change (clothes), dress, shave and wash. But it can be used if the action is difficult.
I cooked myself a snack.
Although she’s very rich, the Queen herself never carries any Money.
My sister designs all these clothes herself.
Jack was sitting by himself at Starbucks.
Daniel washed and changed before going out.
My friend is disabled, but she can dress herself.
Tag question
São pequenas perguntas colocadas no final das orações, para pedir uma informação ou uma confirmação do que foi dito.
Indefinite pronoun
Exerce função de pronome, podendo se referir a pessoa, lugar, coisa mas sem especificar exatamente.
No e seus compostos apenas podem ser usados quando a oração é afirmativa e o sentido negativo, neste caso, quem dará é o próprio pronome.
