when we step into a new place is to
greet people with a big smile!
Similar to Portuguese, there's a whole

dive into the exciting world of

DATES
terceiro, etc.).
Portanto, ao pronunciar datas, o mês vem antes
do dia.
será July 1st (first).

VERBO TO BE
verbo to be! Hoje, iremos explorar e praticá-lo.
O Verbo BE significa ser ou estar. Então, quando
aprendemos o “verbo to be”, na verdade,
estamos aprendendo a conjugar o verbo ser e
estar (eu sou, você é, nós somos… eu estou,
você está…).
Verbo to be
No português, é muito comum darmos gênero
para tudo; Como, por exemplo, o sofá. Vemos
No inglês, objetos
I
You
He
She

We

Algo interessante sobre o IT :

CONJUGANDO
Pronome + Verbo to be +
complemento (adjetivo)
Como usamos?
Pense em 5 coisas que você é:
(Adjetivos, profissão, parentesco..)
Peça ajuda do professor com essas
palavras e depois tente falar em
inglês: Ex: I am happy
Pense em 5 coisas que você está:
(status de trabalho, sentimentos..)
Peça ajuda do professor com essas
palavras e depois tente falar em
inglês: Ex: I am busy
Colocando em prática
I AM HAPPY
WE ARE FRIENDSTHEY ARE SMART
SHE IS BEAUTIFUL HE IS NICE
YOU ARE AWESOME
Traduza essas frases
Quando estamos nos referindo à alguém,
usamos IS ou ARE.
She is
He is
THEY are
Também é utilizado quando estamos
falando de uma pessoa em específico, veja:
My mother is
Matheus is
My brothers are
Perceba que a regra continua, só
alteramos os sujeitos que são
equivalentes:
My mother > She
Matheus > He
My brothers > They
He She It
Agora pense nas pessoas do seu
convívio. Quais são algumas das
características que essas pessoas têm?
Veja os exemplos e peça a ajuda do
teacher para novos adjetivos!
Ex: My mother is beautiful / He is nice /
My brothers are funny.
I SMART
YOU NICE
HE HANDSOME
SHE TALENTED

grammatically correct to use it in
its contracted form, see:
Exemplo:

It’s cool
She’s nice
E SE NÃO?
Just like any sentence in English, we can also leave the verb be in the
negative. To do this we keep what we have already learned and add a “not”
after the verb be:
Veja:
 I am not Silvio Santos
Eu não sou o Silvio Santos
Pronome + verbo be + not + complemento
Transform these sentences from
the verb be to the negative
I am Happy
You are my friend
We are funny

SIMPLE PRESENT NEGATIVE
CLASS 16
I (to play) soccer every Saturday.
She (to study) English every day.
They (to have) breakfast at 7 o'clock.
We (to watch) TV in the evening.
My brother (to work) as a doctor.
We recently put the use of verbs into practice.
What is the correct way to use the verbs in these examples?
Hoje, vamos explorar o DO
como um verbo auxiliar.
SIMPLE PRESENT NEG
Para tornar a frase no negativo, apenas
incluímos o verbo auxiliar conjugado antes
de um verbo. Veja:
I  DON’T
YOU DON’T
HE DOESN’T
SHE DOESN’T
IT DOESN’T
WE DON’T
THEY DON’T
She works at the hospital.
She doesn’t work at the hospital.
I travel every year.
I don’t travel every year.
Note que o S da afirmação sumiu!
Leia os exemplos a seguir. O que cada um deles significa?
Sujeito + don’t / doesn’t + verbo + complemento
I don’t like pizza
You don’t look happy
She doesn’t eat sushi
Marcus doesn’t have a sister
We don’t drive
They don’t travel a lot
Complete with the correct form of the verb in simple present negative tense:
I (not to watch) TV in the morning.
She (not to eat) meat on Mondays.
They (not to drink) coffee after dinner.
We (not to play) video games on weekdays.
My parents (not to work) on weekends.
Sujeito + don’t / doesn’t + verbo + complemento
Convert from simple present to simple present negative:
She reads a book every day
He takes a shower in the morning
They listen to music in the car
Mirely likes to walk with her dog
I have school problems
We like Star Wars
Sujeito + don’t / doesn’t + verbo + complemento
Think about hobbies you don't have, put them into practice
using the simple present negative:
EX: I don’t paint

MUCH X MANY
CLASS 22
Ambos "much" e "many" são usados
para expressar quantidade em inglês,
mas são usados de maneiras diferentes.
A principal diferença entre eles é que
"much" é usado com substantivos
incontáveis, enquanto "many" é usado
com substantivos contáveis.
MUCH X MANY Substantivos contáveis são aqueles que
podem ser contados individualmente,
como "apple" (maça), "hot-dog"
(cachorro-quente) e "burger" (lanche).
Substantivos incontáveis, por outro
lado, são aqueles que não podem ser
contados individualmente, como "water"
(água), "rice" (arroz) e "milk" (leite).
Quando se tem o
“how” na frente, se
torna uma
pergunta, veja:

para objetos e animais, enquanto
"his" e "her" são usados para
pessoas.

People travel from one place to another by car, bus, train, plane, or bike. Each
way has good and bad things about it. For example, cars are good for short
distances, but they are expensive and cause pollution. Buses are good for
long distances, but they are crowded and slow. Trains are fast and
comfortable, but they are expensive too. Planes are very fast, but they are
expensive and have long security lines. Bikes are good for short distances,
but they are dangerous in areas with a lot of traffic. The best way to choose a
means of transportation is to calculate distance, costs, and
what you like.

COMPARATIVES
CLASS 52
Comparatives are used to compare two things, people, or actions. They are
formed by adding "-er" to the end of one-syllable adjectives or by adding
"more" before longer adjectives or adverbs. In this way, we can compare two
or more things and say which one is more, less, or equal in degree.
Comparatives
"She is taller than her sister."
"This cake is sweeter than the other one."
"My car is faster than yours."
Comparatives
One-syllable adjectives:

Past
Simple
Nesta aula, vamos explorar o tempo
verbal "Past Simple" em suas formas
afirmativa, negativa e interrogativa. O
"Past Simple" é usado para descrever
ações ou eventos que ocorreram e foram
concluídos no passado.
No passado, existe duas maneiras de usar
o Simple Past, com verbos regulares e
com verbos irregulares.
She studied English last night.1.
They visited their grandparents over the weekend.2.
He played soccer yesterday.3.
We watched a movie at the theater.4.
Past Simple
ação concluída no passado. Veja a estrutura e alguns exemplos:
Estrutura:
[Sujeito] + [Verbo no passado simples]
+ [Complemento]
 Play (jogar) — Played (jogou)1.
 Walk (andar) — Walked (andou)2.
 Talk (conversar) — Talked (conversou)3.
simples.
No entanto, existem algumas
Verbos Regulares no Past Simple
Se o verbo terminar em uma vogal +
consoante, dobramos a consoante
final antes de adicionar o "ed".
 Stop (parar) - Stopped (parou)1.
 Plan (planejar) - Planned
(planejou)
2.
Se o verbo terminar em "e",
simplesmente adicionamos o "d" ao
final do verbo.
 Love (amar) - Loved (amou)1.
 Dance (dançar) - Danced
(dançou)
2.
Verbos Regulares no Past Simple
Verbos Regulares no Past Simple
Se o verbo terminar em consoante +
"y", trocamos o "y" por "i" antes de
adicionar o "ed".
 Study (estudar) - Studied (estudou)1.
 Carry (carregar) - Carried (carregou)2.
 Go (ir) - Went (foi)1.
 Have (ter) - Had (teve)2.
 Eat (comer) - Ate (comeu)3.
formas no passado.
Verbos Regulares no Past Simple
Help - Helped
Dance - Danced
Cook - Cooked
Study - Studied
Like - Liked
Visit - Visited
Want - Wanted

SIMPLE PAST (NEG)
CLASS 67
Past Simple — Negativo
Hoje, vamos aprenderemos a formar frases negativas e interrogativas
no passado.
verbo auxiliar DID. O DID é o DO no passado, só que nessas estruturas, o verbo do/did
She didn't study English last night.
