Pros
The odds of error are almost nil and there is greater accuracy;
Applications in space exploration;
AI do things that humans can't do substitute for humans in some areas where more responsibility and caution are needed;
Personal assistants on smartphones, likewise Siri or Cortana;
Fraud Detection in banking systems;
Robots don't use the emotional side to solve problems;
May be used in repetitive or hazardous tasks without causing health problems;
In the field of medicine, an artificial intelligence acts with precision in the algorithms, enabling better medical evaluation;
Robotic pets can help patients with depression and also keep them active;
The greatest advantage of artificial intelligence is that as machines do not require sleep or pauses, and are able to function without stopping they can continually perform the same task without getting bored or tired.
CONS
Cost incurred in maintenance and repair. The procedures to restore lost code or data can be time-consuming and costly.
Is it ethically correct to create replicas of human beings? Our moral values allow us to recreate intelligence? Intelligence is a gift of nature
Storage, access and recovery are not as effective as in the case of the human brain.
Lack of sentiment can be harmful, for example a robot working as a physician would not treat patients with the same affection as a doctor would treat.
The machines have no common sense.
Unemployment.
Since humans won't need to use intelligence, they're going to strive less to think.
If the machine control is in the wrong hands, it may cause destruction.
Intelligent machines can prove to be smarter than us, they can enslave us and start dominating the world.
The artificial intelligence of before, now and the future
 
In the beginning, the researchers tried to understand the human mind and reproduce it with a series of specific laws and schedules in robots, of the type: "If you hear that, say that." This is the idea of Represent: The world exists "out there" and should be represented in some way for the robot, as would happen in the human mind.
Then they understand it's not quite the way it works. That means a lot to research in artificial intelligence. Instead of trying to reproduce the human mind and worry about that the robot maps its environment properly, programming is done without predefined behaviors, focusing on learning — the robot is programmed to learn, to improvise.
The artificial intelligence that has become reality walks much more to help the development of mankind than to the threat of extermination of our race, as it is portrayed in some films.
