MODELO PEDAGÓGICO NÃO-DIRETIVO

Resumidamente pode-se
classificar os modelos pedagógicos em três tipos, a saber: pedagogia
diretiva, pedagogia não diretiva e pedagogia relacional. Subjacente a
esses três modelos encontram-se três tipos de epistemologia que lhe dão
sustento, respectivamente: empirismo, apriorismo e construtivismo.
Pedagogia
diretiva e seu pressuposto epistemológico. Na aula que se fundamenta em
uma pedagogia diretiva, o professor fala e o aluno escuta, o professor
propõe atividade e o aluno a executa, o professor ensina e o aluno
pressupostamente aprende. A epistemologia subjacente é denominada
empirista por atribuir aos sentidos, e às experiências mediadas por
eles, a fonte de todo o conhecimento. A concepção de aprendizagem nesse
modelo baseia-se na apreensão de verdades e não na sua construção. A
associação entre percepções e ações, isto é, o aprendizado pode ser
visto como resultado de um processo de estímulo - resposta, de tentativa
e erro. O reforço é tido como importante no processo de aprendizagem,
isto é, a necessidade de repetição de uma tarefa para alcançar o
aprendizado, também dá suporte a esse modelo epístemológico.
Pedagogia
não-diretiva e seu pressuposto epistemológico. Nesse modelo o professor
é um auxiliar do aluno, um facilitador. O aluno é visto como
independente no seu processo de aprendizagem e detentor de um
conhecimento e/ou de habilidades a priori que determinam sua
aprendizagem. O professor deve interferir o mínimo possível, o professor
não ensina, o aluno é que aprende. A epistemologia que dá sustento a
essa pedagogia é classificada como apriorista, concebe o indivíduo como
dotado de um saber de nascença o que justifica a ocorrência de alunos
talentosos e de alunos fracassados.
Esse modelo é muito pouco
freqüente em nosso meio, no entanto esse pré-conceito de alunos
destinados ao fracasso e de alunos destinados ao sucesso está presente
no senso comum.
Pedagogia relacional e seu pressuposto
epistemológico. Na aula que se fundamenta em uma pedagogia relacional, o
professor problematiza e o aluno age, estabelecendo-se em sala de aula
um ambiente de discussão e construção de um novo conhecimento em que a
interação aluno-professor é a base do processo de aprendizagem. A
epistemologia subjacente é denominada construtivista por relacionar
aprendizagem à construção de conhecimento, tarefa compartilhada entre
professor e aluno. Ao professor cabe desestabilizar cognitivamente o
aluno através da novidade. Ao aluno cabe, através de um processo
endógeno complexo, passar de um patamar de conhecimento para outro,
superior, através de assimilações e subseqüentes acomodações, num
processo que finda temporariamente a cada acomodação, mas que frente a
novos desafios se repete permitindo que o sujeito cognitivo atinja
patamares cada vez mais elevados de conhecimento.

ESCOLA DE SUMMERHILL
A
escola de Summerhill, nasceu em 1921, fruto da imaginação de um escocês
A. S. Neill, que tinha princípios altamente liberais em matéria de
Educação. Hoje, a escola continua sob a responsabilidade de Zoe
Readhead, 52 anos, filha de Neill, continua o trabalho de seu pai apesar
das ameaças do governo britânico.
O direito de aprender em
Summerhill, baseia-se na filosofia de enriquecer as crianças e jovens,
através de experiências diversas, passando a estes o forte sentido de
responsabilidade, competências e sociabilização.
Esta escola
simboliza uma escola alternativa, hoje com 79 anos de existência, sem
ser subsidiada pelo Estado, fundada no livre arbítrio, existe atualmente
800 estabelecimentos com internato, que tem uma grande ligação com seus
princípios sagrados.
Apesar de ser a única escola progressiva
inglesa, os resultados dos alunos nos exames nacionais são razoáveis,
pelos dados apresentados num artigo “Liberdade Ameaçada”, 75% dos alunos
tiveram bons resultados nos exames finais.
Nesta escola, o
relacionamento professor e aluno é baseado no respeito e compreensão, os
professores são tratados por “tu”. Os alunos exercem o direito de
aprender desde os 6 anos de idade. Não há idade para aprender, cada um
tem o seu tempo.
A escola de Summerhill, é considerada a “mais velha
democracia das crianças no mundo”, pois cada decisão sobre a vida da
escola é tomada por eleições, onde as palavras dos adultos e das
crianças são iguais.
As aulas funcionam no turno da manhã e da tarde;
é oferecido recurso variado, que ficam a disposição do aluno. Os
recursos vão desde mapas, livros, filmes, gravações e etc. Quando não
estão na aula podem fazer qualquer coisa que lhes agradem, estudar
sozinho, andar de bicicleta, ir a piscina. A única coisa não permitida é
dormir de dia.
Ficam disponíveis Grupos de professores para
transmitir outro tipo de conhecimento, não acadêmico, dependendo da
curiosidade de cada um.

CONSIDERAÇÕES
Na
proposta da pedagogia não diretiva considera-se os enfoques encontrados
predominantemente no sujeito. O ensino centrado no aluno é derivado da
teoria de Carl Rogers sobre personalidade e conduta, centrada no
desenvolvimento da personalidade do indivíduo, em seus processos de
construção e organização pessoal da realidade.
Com o advento da
globalização, nota-se o abandono dos ideais coletivistas por uma busca
em reforçar o individualismo e a desigualdade social das nações. Os
problemas sociais avançam diariamente e criando-se a necessidade de se
discutir sobre a formação de cidadãos humanizados, considerada esta uma
das nobres tarefas da escola. Fica claro que a escola deveria ser o
local para ensinar cidadania não somente na teoria como também na
prática.
Para a implantação de um modelo não-diretivo, dever-se-á
modificar a forma de pensar e agir de todo o conjunto de componente da
estrutura educacional, fator este de grande complexidade. Na Escola de
Summerhill, os alunos possuem independência em suas atividades,
observa-se que os próprios alunos já realizam assembléias e decidem as
regras, sendo desde cedo preparados para ser cidadãos.
Devido ao fato
de a sociedade se encontrar muito envolvida com o modelo tradicional de
ensino, a aplicação desta concepção será bastante complexa, por tender a
desacomodar os métodos de ensino e gerar conflitos entre os meios
participantes, sendo necessário que todos os agentes envolvidos se
encontrem preparados e comprometidos com esta didática.
No Brasil
esta abertura vem sendo efetivada aos poucos após o advento da nova Lei
de Diretrizes e Bases - LDB, na qual estabelece que o aluno deve ser
valorizado no seu contexto, sendo trabalhado para tornar-se um cidadão.
Mas realidade brasileira não é rica de recursos como a escola britânica,
as potencialidades ou habilidades individuais ficam comprometidas,
barradas em hierarquias e na fraca estrutura para inserção em um
processo diferenciado de participação.
Atualmente o exercício da
docência obriga ao tutor possuir certos talentos e ser munido de grande
criatividade, se tornando um ser atualizado e possuído de inúmeras
qualidades, devido ao fato de estar concorrendo com meios de comunicação
poderosos, como a Internet.
A própria introdução de tecnologias na
educação, especialmente associadas ao uso de computadores, está
provocando mudanças no paradigma educacional, onde o foco da
aprendizagem deixa de ser o ensino e passa a se centrar no aluno. A
adoção dessas novas tecnologias é caracterizada por fatores de ordem
positiva, como a facilidade de acesso às informações, flexibilidade de
apresentação e interação entre aluno e a máquina. A incorporação das
maquinas nas atividades pedagógicas desenvolvem nos alunos o desejo
de
aprender a aprender, o entusiasmo pelo conhecimento, o prazer e a
alegria da descoberta. Contudo é fundamental que o aluno compreenda o
que está fazendo e por que está Fazendo, cabendo ao professor auxilia-lo
nesta compreensão.
