(TRE-MT ± Conhecimentos Gerais para o Cargo 3 ± CESPE/2015) In the short term, the justice system can gain consistency by striving for standardization and by publishing the result of that effort. Broadly speaking, the court system resolves disputes by providing answers where the parties themselves cannot find them. It generates public trust by honouring arguments with new solutions, and this fundamental task must be supported by proportional and adequate use of technology, never reduced. In this sense, judicial organizations need to pay serious attention to their information technology policies to guarantee that justice is served. Public guidelines for frequently occurring decisions can fulfil the need for consistency. Automating the guidelines can be a next step. Public guidelines can reduce the number of points in dispute, and perhaps even entire disputes, to be put before the judge. Thus, increasing consistency also shortens turnaround time. There is more to this than just implementing technology, however. Developing routines and public guidelines require active work on the part of the judges and their staff in the courts. Judiciaries need to be responsible for their own performance as administrators of justice. Internet: <http://home.hccnet.nl> (adapted). According to the text, public guidelines. Text 1 The good oil boys club It should have been a day of high excitement. A public auction on July 15th marked the endof a 77-year monopoly on oil exploration and production by Pemex, Mexico`s state-owned oil company, and ushered in a new era of foreign investment in Mexican oil that until a few years ago was considered unimaginable. Apostila gerada especialmente para: Jonathan Oliveira 044.595.646-10 . 5 The Mexican government had hoped that its firstever auction of shallow-water exploration blocks in the Gulf of Mexico would successfully launch the modernisation of its energy industry. In the run-up to the bidding, Mexico had sought to be as accommodating as its historic dislike for foreign oil companies allowed it to be. First Sammy, our nine-year-old golden retriever, needed surgery. (She's fine now.) Then Inky, our curious cat, burned his paw. (He'll be fine, too.) At our last visit, as we were writing our fourth (or was it the fifth?) consecutive check to the veterinary hospital, there was much joking about how vet bills should be tax-deductible. After all, pets are dependents, too, right? (Guffaws all around.) Now, halfway through tax-fling season, comes news that pets are high on the list of unusual deductions taxpayers try to claim. From routine pet expenses to the costs of adopting a pet to, yes, pets as "dependents," tax accountants have heard it all this year, according to the Minnesota Society of Certified Public Accountants, which surveys its members annually about the most outlandish tax deductions proposed by clients. Most of these doggy deductions don't hunt, but, believe it or not, some do. Could there be a spot for Sammy and Inky on our 1040? Scott Kadrlik, a certified public accountant in Eden Prairie, Minn., who moonlights as a stand-up comedian (really!), gave me a dog's-eye view of the tax code: "In most cases our family pets are just family pets," he says. They cannot be claimed as dependents, and you cannot deduct the cost of their food, medical care or other expenses. One exception is service dogs. If you require a Seeing Eye dog, for example, your canine's costs are deductible as a medical expense. Occasionally, man's best friend also is man's best business deduction. The Doberman that guards the junk yard can be deductible as a business expense of the junk-yard owner, says Mr. Kadrlik. Ditto the convenience-store cat that keeps the rats at bay For most of us, though, our pets are hobbies at most. Something's a hobby if, among other things, it hasn't turned a profit in at least three of the past five years (or two of the past seven years in the case of horse training, breeding or racing). In that case, you can't deduct losses-only expenses to the extent of income in the same year. So if your beloved Bichon earns $100 for a modeling gig, you could deduct $100 worth of vet bills (or dog food or doggy attire). Isso fica claro na linha cinco, quando o autor diz: "Recent history has proved that one-size-fits-all solutions are no good when public health challenges vary from one area of the country to the next." According to the Ministry of Mines Apostila gerada especialmente para: Jonathan Oliveira 044.595.646-10 . 20 and Energy, Márcio Zimmermann, the thermoelectric generation, which currently averages 4.000 megawatts (MW), should now be reduced to 2.500 MW. These plants are used in Brazil mainly to prevent a power outage in the country in times of drought, when the reservoirs of the dams are low. But the ministry assured that the reservoir of the hydroelectric plants are satisfactory, and that there will be no need to resort to the thermoelectric resources. According to the Minister Zimmermann, the Southeast has an average of 90% of its reservoirs full, which is an excellent level for this time of year. Even the Northeast, whose reservoir levels are a little lower, do not compromise system security. ³7KHV\VWHPLVRSHUDWLQJSHUIHFWO\ZLWKLQWKHFXUUHQWFRQGLWLRQVZKLFKVDIHO\DOORZVXVWRUHGXFHWKH generation of thermoelectric energy. More advanced than the ADAS, the Closed Bell is the certification appropriate to deep water dives of 60 meters / 200 feet, using a trimix tank with 16 percent oxygen (O2). During the training, divers lived in a chamber for up to 28 days, which was pressurized to the same pressure of the sea, exactly at the depth that they will be working at. 5. Orações subordinadas. 6. Ordem das palavras na oração. Apostila gerada especialmente para: Jonathan Oliveira 044.595.646-10 . 25 Exemplos: - The Microsoft is one of the richest corporations in the world. - Explorer and Navigator are two famous browsers. - The United States, Canada, England and Japan are some of the countries where people make the best use of internet. Exemplos: - My parents prefer the eletronic typewriter than the computer for typing their texts. - Some of the software we use in the lab must be replaced. - The world Bank and The United Nations Organization invest money in projects that improve the information technology. Exemplos: - Retraining the staff over and over and much of repeated reworking is what most businesses expect to eradicate with investments in highly advanced technology. - Better education, an increase in the living conditions and a serious health care program would suffice to establish a desirable welfare status for the poor population in this country. - From now on, not only machines, such as computers, watches and vehicles, but also books, trees and even shoes will be equipped with microchips. 2. Turn it on. - Execute the instructions following the manual procedures. - Would you please show me how I can run this program? - Is this the correct way to write it in English ? - Can you tell me what your e-mail is ? Apostila gerada especialmente para: Jonathan Oliveira 044.595.646-10 . 26 Em casos ainda mais raros, podemos encontrar orações introduzidas pelo infinitivo (to stop, to love, to work, etc). Quem nunca ouviu ou falou a clássica shakespeareana: to be or not to be? Exemplos: - He bought a book. - My father is a computer programmer. - I don´t know what to do. b) Objeto indireto É o complemento que responde a pergunta : ³GHTXr"´´FRPTXr"´´GHTXHP"´´SDUDTXHP"´ etc, feitas ao verbo. Exemplos: a. She´s helping him finish his work. b. She got home with her husband. c. I´m tired of speaking. d. Diana told me what happened. (EBC ± Ansalista ± CESPE) Translation exists because men speak different languages. This truism is, in fact, founded on a situation, which can be regarded as enigmatic and posing problems of extreme difficulty. Why should human beings speak thousands of different, mutually incomprehensible tongues? Why does homo sapiens, whose digestive tract has evolved and functions in precisely the same complicated ways the world over, whose biochemical fabric and genetic potential are, orthodox science assures us, essentially common, the delicate runnels of whose cortex are wholly akin in all peoples and at every stage of social evolution ± why does this unified, though individually unique mammalian species not use common language? We do not speak one language, nor half a dozen, nor twenty or thirty. Four to five thousand languages are thought to be in current use. This figure is almost certainly on the low side. It seems reasonable to assert that the human species developed and made use of at least twice the number we can record today. Para adicionarmos informações ao antecedente, usamos os pronomes relativos (who, whom, whose, which e that). Do you know the girl who is talking to Tom? I was invited to a party which was not very excited. I met a woman who can speak six languages. FUNÇÃO PESSOA COISA Sujeito who / that which / that Objeto who / whom / that / - which / that / - Possessivo whose whose Observando o quadro acima, concluímos que as orações restritivas que se referem a pessoas são introduzidas por who, whom ou that, já as orações restritivas que se referem a coisas são introduzidas por which ou that. O pronome possessivo whose é usado tanto para pessoas como para coisas: Is this the man who / that stole your bag? I need a car which is big. (Preciso de um carro que seja grande.) Do you know the boy whose mother is a nurse? (Você conhece o menino cuja mãe é enfermeira?) The tree whose leaves have fallen. (A árvore cujas folhas caíram.) Apostila gerada especialmente para: Jonathan Oliveira 044.595.646-10 . 29 It's the house whose door is painted red. Observe os exemplos abaixo: Christopher Columbus was the man who discovered America. Gustavo is the journalist who writes for the Times. (Gustavo é o jornalista que escreve parao Times.) The man who lives next door is my grandfather. (O homem que mora na casa ao lado é meu avô.) This is the person (who) I saw at the bakery last night. - O pronome who é opcional. Sorry, I have lost the CD (which) I borrowed from you. - O pronome which é opcional. Richard is the lawyer (who) we met last week. - O pronome who é opcional.
