Cut Student A and Student B worksheets apart. Procedure 1. Tell students they are going to practice asking about people’s jobs, workplaces, and work schedules. Elicit the following questions and write them on the board: What does he / she do? Where does he / she work? What company does he / she work for? When does he / she work? 2. Put students in pairs and distribute worksheets. In each pair, one student receives the Student A worksheet and the other the Student B worksheet. Tell students that they should not look at their partner’s worksheet. 3. Model the activity by pointing to person 1 and asking: What does Jack Yang do? Elicit the answer from Students B (He’s a receptionist.). Have Students A write receptionist on the blank in their sheets. 4. Have pairs continue asking and answering about the people in the pictures. 5. As students are working, walk around to monitor the activity and help as needed. Encourage students to look at each other as they speak, rather than just looking down at their sheets. Make note of any errors or problems to review later. 6. When pairs are finished, have them compare worksheets and correct any differences. Note: For each blank on one worksheet, students will find the correct information on the other sheet.
