Review about City of Bones

Prévia do material em texto

A few years ago, I read City of Bones, the first of six books that make up a saga called The Mortal Instruments. There are some scenarios, but the story mainly takes place in New York.
The adventure starts when Clary and Simon, her friend, go to a club and she is the only one who can witness a group of youngsters using exotic weapons committing a murder. Nobody else could see them. As if it was not confusing enough, at home, she is attacked by a demon, and her mum disappears. Her help comes justly from the group, that, she discovers after, was saving lives, and not being criminals, at the club. That is not the only discover; from these events, Clary comes to know the truth about who she really is and all existing things.
I really liked to know the courageous characters Izzy, Jace, Alec, Magnus, Clary and Simon. The book is very impressive because of the world created by the author, Cassandra Clare. Although magic creatures as fairies, wizards, vampires and wolves exist in many plots, the Shadow World brings a fascinating version of them, besides of introduce others, the Shadowhunters, who have angel blood and the responsibility of kill demons in order to protect people.
A curiosity about Shadowhunters is that they can have runes on their skins. Each rune, each symbol has a meaning, has the power to give an ability to the Nephilim who draws on the skin, and steles are the tool utilized to draw them.
If you like fantasy, action, drama, and romance this book is for you.
