The Reformed Epistemology renewed several epistemological discussions in the scope of reason and faith. Currently, several epistemologists adhere to this position or at least see the need to debate their arguments, accepting their challenges to the development of contemporary epistemology. About the three ways that Reformed Epistemology is motivated, we can affirm that:
I – One of the motivations arises from a particular interpretation of the Bible, influenced by John Calvin's view, in which human beings are cognitively impeccable, being able to immediately obtain theistic beliefs. II – One motivation is the fact that theism does not face a doxastic problem, in which it does not need to provide its beliefs in agreement with arguments, a position similar to Thomas Aquinas in the Summa Theologica. III – A motivation of Reformed Epistemology can be found in the counter-argumentation in the face of the evidentialist challenge proposed by Locke, which we can call hyper-evidentialism. IV – A motivation of Reformed Epistemology is found in Alston's proposal that belief in theism is always coherent based on propositional evidence arguments. A Only sentences II, III, and IV are correct. B Only sentences II and III are correct. C Only sentences I and IV are correct. D Only sentences I, II, and III are correct.
