De acordo com o Estatuto da Guarda Municipal de Segurança Pública, é considerada uma infração disciplinar:

I - Qualquer ação praticada pelo membro da carreira da guarda municipal, enquadrada nesta Lei e contrária aos preceitos estabelecidos no sistema jurídico nacional, ofensiva à ética, aos deveres e às obrigações funcionais, mesmo em sua manifestação elementar e simples, ou que afete a honra pessoal e o decoro da classe.

II - O descumprimento dos deveres prescritos no artigo 215 do Estatuto do Servidor Público Municipal (Lei nº 4.615, de 19 de junho de 2006), e o não cumprimento dos princípios éticos previstos nesta Lei.

III - Mudanças de peso.

IV - Fadiga e perda de energia.
