The Central Nervous System (CNS) receives, analyzes and integrates information from the external and internal environment. It is the place where decisions are made and commands are sent, being responsible for the control and coordination of all organs and functions of the organism. The Peripheral Nervous System (PNS) carries information from sensory organs to the central nervous system and from the central nervous system to effector organs (muscles and glands). In the CNS there are the so-called gray and white substances. The CNS is formed by:
