What is the correct procedure for the correct timing synchronization?
1. The No. 1 cylinder of the engine must be at its Top Dead Center (TDC).
2. Align the timing mark of the balance shaft with its gear (17).
3. Hold the gear in place with a bolt of approximately 4 mm (18).
4. Mount the crankshaft gear and the balance shaft chain, making sure that the marked links are aligned (19) and (20).
5. Remove the 4 mm bolt seen in step No. 3 (18) and ensure that both guide tensioners are engaged on the balance shaft and crankshaft synchronization chain (16).
6. Mount the screw and the guide holder of the right rear distribution chain (15).
7. Mount the screw and the guide holder of the secondary front distribution chain on the left side (14).
8. Mount the rear intermediate shaft gear screw (13). Do not tighten.
9. Mount the front intermediate shaft gear, the main chain, and the screw (12). Do not tighten.
10. Mount the main distribution chain guide (10).
11. Mount the main distribution chain tensioner (9).
12. Hold the front intermediate shaft gear screw (12) and tighten the rear intermediate shaft gear screw (13). Tightening torque: 20 Nm.
13. Mount the rear intermediate shaft gear holding tool (11). Tool No. 303-634.
14. Tighten the rear intermediate shaft gear screw another 90° (13).
15. Tighten the front intermediate shaft gear screw (12). Tightening torque: 45 Nm + 90°.
16. Mount the distribution cover.
