Although the present perfect is a verb tense quite present in English, both in orality and in writing, many students have difficulties regarding its structure, since it presents verbal forms different from those we are used to when using the past simple. Such forms are known as “past participle” or, in Portuguese, “particípio passado”. According to your knowledge, select the alternative in which the past participle is correct.
a. DO - DID. b. BE - BEEN. c. GO - GOED. d. MAKE - MADED. e. HAVE - HEAD.
A alternativa correta é a letra B - BE - BEEN. O particípio passado do verbo "to be" é "been". O present perfect é formado pelo verbo "to have" no presente seguido do particípio passado do verbo principal. Exemplo: "I have been to Brazil before." (Eu já estive no Brasil antes.)
